The challenge

This project is protected by a non-disclosure agreement: some product details, business specifics, and visuals cannot be disclosed. We describe our work without revealing the client's product.

The product is a comprehensive dual-app ecosystem for the automotive aftermarket: vehicle owners on one side, service centers and parts suppliers on the other. The platform connects them through real-time communication, synchronized vehicle data, and an integrated parts marketplace.

The engineering challenge was to serve two very different audiences with two dedicated applications - client-facing and provider-facing - that share one product logic, stay in sync in real time, and remain fast under data-heavy workflows: diagnostics, repair histories, and supply-chain tracking.

What we built

OKET joined the project as a senior React Native engineer, architecting and scaling the multi-app ecosystem. A shared codebase and component library drive both applications, so features ship to the client and provider sides without duplicated work.

We engineered the core modules of the platform: real-time tracking of repair workflows, vehicle diagnostic histories - VIN data, service intervals, and oil lifecycles - and complex parts supply-chain tracking, backed by an offline-first data model that keeps vehicle records synchronized across users and provider dashboards.

Real-time collaboration runs on an optimized, low-latency messaging pipeline built with WebSockets: technicians consult clients directly, share photos, update repair statuses, and receive quote approvals in the moment. Service discovery is powered by high-performance geolocation - Mapbox clusters with custom styling, geofencing, dynamic routing, and proximity-based provider sorting.

Throughout, the focus stayed on application performance and fluid UI animations: a full-cycle parts marketplace with compatibility checks and delivery tracking, a dynamic rating engine with provider performance scores, and robust cross-platform synchronization between the B2B and B2C interfaces.

Dual-app codebase architecture

A scalable React Native codebase with a shared component library drives two separate applications - client and service center - so shared features reach both sides faster.

Vehicle lifecycle data tracking

An offline-first data model syncs vehicle telemetry, historical maintenance records, VIN data, and preventive service dates across users and provider dashboards.

Real-time collaboration and live chat

A low-latency messaging pipeline on WebSockets connects technicians directly with clients: instant photo sharing, repair status updates, and quote approvals.

Parts e-commerce and delivery tracking

A full-cycle automotive parts marketplace: browse components, compare real-time pricing, verify compatibility with the vehicle model, and track end-to-end delivery logistics.

High-performance geolocation and maps

Mapbox clusters with custom styling and efficient geofencing display supported service networks, dynamic routing, and proximity-based provider sorting.

Trust-building feedback and analytics

An interactive feedback and rating engine enables transparent reviews while maintaining data integrity and calculating dynamic provider performance scores.
