The challenge

The product is a cross-platform cashback and voucher ecosystem designed to help businesses attract and retain customers while giving users access to cashback, vouchers, and promotional rewards. The system supports four connected roles: business owners, customers, promoters, and cashiers.

The main UX challenge was to create one connected system for four very different user roles without making the experience feel fragmented or overly complex.

What we built

We worked on a multi-platform product built around transactions between local businesses and their customers. Businesses create offers, manage rewards, monitor activity, and participate in a broader promotional ecosystem. Customers discover participating businesses, make eligible purchases, receive cashback, and use vouchers through the application. Promoters support business acquisition and campaign growth, while cashiers verify transactions and apply rewards during the payment process.

This required the design of a connected product ecosystem rather than a single customer-facing application. We organized complex role permissions, transaction states, cashback logic, voucher workflows, business management, and operational processes into a consistent multi-platform experience, with flows and interfaces designed in Figma.

We also supported the engineering side as a consulting developer inside the client's team. The product runs on Flutter for mobile and React for the web, communicating with the backend over REST and WebSockets, with data and infrastructure on AWS. BLoC and domain-driven design keep the mobile codebase structured, and a CI/CD pipeline with Fastlane handles releases.

The work focused on reducing complexity for each user type while preserving the shared logic required by the overall system. Detailed financial workflows, implementation specifics, and product visuals remain confidential under NDA.

Customer rewards

Users receive cashback, collect vouchers, discover offers, and use available rewards when making eligible purchases.

Business management

Business owners manage company information, promotions, cashback rules, vouchers, participating locations, and performance-related activity.

Cashier workflows

Cashiers have a focused interface for identifying customers, validating transactions, applying rewards, and confirming voucher usage.

Promoter tools

Promoters support business onboarding, manage assigned relationships, and participate in the platform's acquisition and growth process.

Multi-role architecture

Each role has its own permissions, navigation, dashboards, and core tasks while remaining connected to the same product ecosystem.

Transaction-based rewards

Purchases and payments trigger cashback and voucher logic according to the rules established by participating businesses.

Role-specific onboarding

Different onboarding flows introduce users, business owners, promoters, and cashiers only to the functionality relevant to them.

Voucher lifecycle

The platform supports voucher creation, assignment, activation, redemption, status tracking, and expiration logic.

Business discovery

Customers find participating businesses, review available offers, and understand what rewards are available before purchasing.

Clear financial information

Balances, cashback values, voucher conditions, and transaction records are presented through transparent and understandable flows.

Operational dashboards

Business and operational users monitor activity, manage offers, review transactions, and maintain platform data through dedicated interfaces.

Scalable product structure
